As you look to measure your journey to net-zero, the Science-Based Target initiative (“SBTi”) can offer a robust framework for establishing carbon reduction targets according to your specific operations and sector.

With over 15 years of experience in providing guidance for establishing targets and creating strategies to reduce carbon emissions, we can support you in developing science-based targets using a five-step process:

01

Understanding your carbon footprint

02

Developing a target based on SBTi criteria

03

Committing to and submitting the target

04

Reporting annual progress

05

Reassessing if significant changes to the base-year carbon footprint occur

The origins of the SBTi global framework

SBTi has established a global framework for companies to set carbon reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement. The Paris Agreement aims to limit the global temperature rise to well below 2°C and strives to limit the temperature increase to a maximum of 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.

The framework provides a range of target-setting methods tailored to address the distinct challenges faced by companies, depending on their size and sector of operation.
