Holtara joins forces with Pictet to support its environmental and social investment journey

30 May 2024

New sustainability services brand, Holtara, has announced a renewal of its partnership with Pictet Alternative Advisors (“PAA”) to support its environmental and social themed investing journey.

New sustainability services brand, Holtara, has announced a renewal of its partnership with Pictet Alternative Advisors (“PAA”), the Pictet Group’s wholly owned alternative investment business, to support its environmental and social themed investing journey.

In recent years, investments seeking to address environmental and social issues have seen significant growth. The increasing recognition of climate change and social concerns globally has added a sense of urgency among asset managers to commit to understand how their investments contribute to addressing these issues. As a result, investors are now expected to be transparent on the extent to which they actually bring a positive contribution to these themes.

Holtara was appointed by PAA over a year ago to provide a number of services, including collecting and verifying sustainability data for regulatory and voluntary reporting purposes, through a combination of advisory and technology-enabled services.

Emma Bickerstaffe, Managing Director, Holtara, says:

“We are delighted to continue our partnership with PAA, supporting them with their ESG reporting. Our goal at Holtara is to contribute to an ESG investing industry that has integrity, is robust and drives positive change. We offer the most comprehensive ESG and impact solutions in private markets, enabling investors and managers to establish meaningful impact strategies and demonstrate measurable positive outcomes.”

Ernesto Grijalva Ortega, Head of Business Strategy & Sustainability, PAA, says:

“We believe that our collaboration with Holtara allows us to bring both rigor in our efforts to deliver on our commitments and transparency on the contribution of our investments to targeted environmental and social themes.”

Holtara is a subsidiary of financial services giant Apex Group, known for its single-source solution for asset managers, and one of the first in the industry to launch an ESG solution in 2019.
